Your students will create their very own interactive book filled with all sorts of bugs! Each reproducible page includes a background, a bug that attaches with a piece of yarn, and a "pocket," or hiding place for the bug. Each page also includes lines for writing about each bug. When the students have completed all of the pages, put them together with a cover and staple to create a delightful book. The bugs not only play on their own page, they can "visit" other pages as well for hours of reading fun!
The following "bugs" are included in this book: an ant that hides behind a soda can, a fly that flies around a trash can, a spider that hangs out in his web, a bee that buzzes around a flower, a ladybug that crawls behind a rock, a snail that creeps up a plant, and a caterpillar that goes into the chryslis and emerges as a beautiful butterfly.
This book goes great with our INSECT and BUTTERFLY thematic units!
