Your students will create a dozen "flip books" that will allow them to distinguish the ending sound of common words. Each mini-booklet is on a single piece of paper for ease of use! The students color in the delightful pictures, cut them out and place them together to create a booklet in which the first word in the sentence is "flipped" up to create a new sentence each time.
For example, for the "O" book (see example below) the students read "Gato termina con la o." They then flip up the picture of the cat to reveal a picture of a dog. They then read "Perro termina con la o." This continues with Pato, Mano and Niño to give them five words in all that end with the same letter. There are booklets for the following ending sounds: a, e, i, o, u, n, s, r, d, l, z, and y.
This book also includes a reproducible chart which allows the teacher to keep track of the students as they progress through the mini-books, allowing them to work at their own level and speed.
